The story behind Nostalgia Transfer

As a child of the 90s, I grew up with the VHS format. That nostalgia sparked a real passion for video, editing, and cinema at an early age, which naturally led me to pursue higher education in the audiovisual sector. It was there that I mastered high-fidelity transfers and the delicate handling of magnetic tapes.

The real spark to create Nostalgia Transfer came after watching the series Archive 81, where the protagonist restores old cassettes. The idea of receiving a box filled with forgotten memories and saving those precious moments from oblivion fascinated me immediately. Like many, I started with a simple, standard USB video capture card, but the unstable quality quickly pushed me to develop a much more rigorous and professional method.

Over the past few years, I have turned this into my specialty. I configured my own transfer chain by combining carefully maintained original video players with a dedicated capture card and a signal stabilization system to guarantee a steady image and the best possible visual result. You won’t find industrial assembly-line processing here: each cassette receives my full attention and is treated with the same respect as if it were my own family memories.
